Hello friends! 

I'm writing to invite you to participate in Student Action with Farmworkers' Farmworker Awareness Campaign, a grassroots fundraising drive to support our work for greater respect and justice for farmworkers. SAF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring students and farmworkers together to learn about each other’s lives, share resources and skills, improve conditions for farmworkers, and build diverse coalitions working for social change.

I am excited to support this organization and I need your support to make this campaign successful. I used to collaborate with SAF when I worked on research projects on the occupational health of immigrant workers.  I worked with several SAF interns and was always impressed by the students and how SAF trained them to advocate for social justice. I really miss working with farmworkers and am helping SAF do fundraising so I can continue to help the farmworkers I grew to love and respect. SAF is important to me because it helps college students learn valuable skills in fighting for equality and respect for all people.  I know several SAF alumni who have moved on to do very important work pursuing justice for all.

My goal is to raise a minimum of $1000 to support SAF's work educating the public about farmworkers. My campaign begins Decemer 15th and ends December 21st. Please consider making a $25 tax-deductible contribution to support their work with farmworkers.  Of course, you are welcome to donate more if you can!
