Hi everyone, and thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

This summer, I have the incredible honor of serving as an intern with Student Action with Farmworkers (SAF) through their Into the Fields program. SAF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the living and working conditions of farmworkers through education, direct outreach, cultural work, and grassroots advocacy.

My work places me directly alongside farmworkers—listening to their stories, learning from their strength, and supporting their needs. Every day, these workers labor in the heat, often without basic protections, to bring food to our tables. Yet too often, their voices go unheard, their rights ignored, and their humanity overlooked. That has to change.

I chose to do this work because I believe deeply in justice, dignity, and solidarity. this mission is personal. I grew up hearing stories of struggle and sacrifice—of families separated by borders and long hours spent in the fields. Those stories lit a fire in me. Through this internship, I’m working to honor their experiences and to be part of a movement that demands more.

But I can’t do it alone.

I’m fundraising to help support the work that SAF and I are doing this summer:
• providing direct outreach to farmworker communities
• connecting workers with essential resources and legal aid
• educating the public about the realities of life in the fields
• advocating for long-term, systemic change in the agricultural industry

Your donation will go directly toward sustaining this work—not just for me, but for the farmworker families whose lives it touches. SAF provides stipends, transportation, outreach tools, and training to ensure that interns like me can serve effectively and responsibly.

More importantly, your support shows that farmworkers are not invisible. It says that their labor matters, their voices matter, and their futures matter.

My hope is that, together, we can build a world where farmworkers are respected not just as laborers, but as human beings—where they have access to healthcare, safe housing, fair wages, and freedom from exploitation. A world where we stop seeing injustice as “normal” and start acting with compassion and urgency.

Este verano tengo el gran honor de participar como pasante en el programa Into the Fields de Student Action with Farmworkers (SAF). SAF es una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a mejorar las condiciones de vida y trabajo de los trabajadores del campo a través de la educación, el alcance comunitario, el arte y la defensa de sus derechos.

Mi trabajo me pone directamente en contacto con trabajadores agrícolas—escuchando sus historias, aprendiendo de su fortaleza y apoyando sus necesidades. Todos los días, estas personas trabajan bajo el sol, en condiciones muchas veces injustas, para que nosotros tengamos alimentos en nuestras mesas. Aun así, sus voces son ignoradas y sus derechos son vulnerados. Eso tiene que cambiar.

Decidí hacer este trabajo porque creo profundamente en la justicia, la dignidad y la solidaridad. esta causa es personal. Crecí escuchando historias de sacrificio—de familias separadas por fronteras y jornadas largas en el campo. Esas historias despertaron un fuego en mí. Y a través de esta pasantía, quiero honrar esas experiencias y ser parte de un movimiento que exige algo mejor.

Pero no puedo hacerlo sola.

Estoy recaudando fondos para apoyar el trabajo que SAF y yo realizamos este verano:
• brindar servicios e información a las comunidades agrícolas
• conectar a los trabajadores con recursos de salud y apoyo legal
• educar al público sobre la realidad del trabajo en el campo
• abogar por un cambio justo y duradero en la industria agrícola

Tu donación apoya directamente este trabajo. SAF usa estos fondos para cubrir transporte, materiales, herramientas educativas y los recursos que necesitamos para servir con respeto y efectividad.

Mi esperanza es que, juntos, podamos construir un mundo donde los trabajadores agrícolas sean tratados con dignidad—donde tengan acceso a servicios básicos, vivienda segura, salarios justos y libertad de explotación.
