Hola compañer@s,
My name is Katie and I'm a 2011 fellow with SAF's Sowing the Seed for Change Program. SAF has given me the opportunity to work in a rural or migrant health clinic in North Carolina, lending my hands and voice to the farmworker justice movement.
This fellowship will let me work with and learn from farmworkers in my community while developing my academic and career interests in health care and food justice. SAF provides fellows with three trainings and a living stipend, and I am required to raise a minimum of $650 to defray these costs. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to support our work.
The US farmworker movement encompasses the most critical social and environmental justice issues of our time: labor, health, energy, food, and immigration. SAF helps build this movement by linking students and farmworkers in solidarity and exchange.
Here's the link to the donation page where you can make a contribution online. You may also mail a check to SAF, 1317 W. Pettigrew St., Durham, NC 27705 (Be sure to put "Katie Cox- SSC" in the memo).
¡Muchísimas gracias!
