Sowing Seeds For Change Fellowship Program!
|
This summer I have been selected to participate in a leadership development program with Student Action with Farmworkers (SAF).
SAF is piloting a 6 month fellowship program that creates opportunities for college students to work in rural and migrant health clinics in North Carolina. I am one of 3 fellows chosen to participate in the 2010 Sowing Seeds for Change Fellowship program. SAF provides fellows with travel, training and a stipend. I am required to raise a minimum of $650 to defray these costs. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to support our work with farmworkers. As a student I want to commit myself and devote my energy to social justice. I am relying on the generosity of congregations, academic departments, small businesses and individuals for financial support to make my participation in this internship possible.
Below is the link to the donation page where you can make a contribution online. Thanks for your support! |
Student Action with Farmworkers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to bring students and farmworkers together to learn about each other’s lives, share resources and skills, improve conditions for farmworkers, and build diverse coalitions working for social change.
